The Top 10 Gadgets For Festivals This Summer
With Festival Season in full swing now, we at Media Lightbox felt we should take a look at all the weird, wonderful and downright bizarre gadgets aimed at Festival goers on the market at the minute.
We don’t want the normal run of the mill fold out chairs, basic tents and standard beer coolers. With the array of different technology on show these days, we want something a bit different to further enhance the festival experience.
After wading through a wide range of choice we decided on a definitive list. Here are, what we felt were the 10 best ones:
1. Rideable Three-Wheeled Cooler
This ingenious contraption, features a 3 wheeled scooter combined with cooler for all your beverages(alcoholic or otherwise). Now we admit it would be fairly tough to get about should it rain heavily as it tends to do, but you’d have to go a long way to find someone with something cooler at the festival.
This contraption for me is ingenious. Having your phone run out of battery can be the scourge of the entire weekend and can see you go a full day without bumping into one of your friends. The fact that this is solar powered allows you to basically charge it up basically whenever necessary and you could make a bit of money by charging other peoples for them if you want!
Containing everything from an Emergency Poncho for when it rains, to Glow Sticks for when you find yourself lost in the Dance Tent, the majority of these things are an absolute necessity and getting it all in the one place without the worry of forgetting something is something that everyone can appreciate.
This nifty “Pocket Shower” can hold up to 10 litres of water which you can then leave out in the sun and allow to heat up. This is for the more cleanly festival and is easy to store and pack away again which makes it perfect for the job.
This one’s for all the fellow iPhone users out there who play the thing to death whether listening to music or playing games. This can easily be done on the way to the festival so this power pack which offers up to 390 hours extended life time, is definitely something to consider.
6. Space Invaders Light Up T-Shirt
Not only is this T-Shirt excellent, but it will also work as a light home to your tent one the music has ended. Two gadgets for the price of one can’t be bad plus it’ll take you back to the retro days of the original Gameboy which everyone remembers fondly.
7. Solar iPod Dock
Another solar powered gadget(I’m starting to see a theme here, however unintentional), be a hit around the campsite by offering the services of this nifty number which again, will not run out of batteries in a hurry(unless the rain hits full swing again).
8. Infrared Perimeter Protector
One of the more hi-tech gadgets on display here with a “Infrared Perimeter Protector”. If you are feeling anxious about leaving your valuables in your tent while you attend the music, this might be the thing for you with it’s 100 decibel alarm in place, intruders will be spotted by security in a jiffy.
9. Cocoonz Sleeping Bag Suits …(And For Kids!)
Make awkward wearing of the sleeping bag outside of the tent moments a thing of the past with this sleeping bag suit. Allowing you to sit around the campsite without being completely freezing cold. I can’t imagine trying to sleep in one but it would be interesting to try!
Having previously used one of these pop-up “moontents” before I can lay claim to how excellent they are. Watching everyone else around you toil and grumble at the task of putting their own tent up manually, it gives you a real sense of relaxation after the long journey to the campsite.
That’s the end of our list, but there are numerous other ones out there, so feel free to let us know about them or what you think of the ones we have listed here.
