Martin Lisec – Photoshop Genius

Posted 20th June 2011 by    email Email article     share Share article

Here at Media lightbox we have a vast interest in all types of design, more specifically we love looking into print and digital imaging. So when we heard about Martin Lisec and his amazing set of Photoshop skills we started to get very excited.

Martin Lisec is currently a concept and 2D artist, he has a keen interest in drawing, painting, computer graphics and taking pictures (digital camera). After perusing architecture for a short while in his younger days his passion was quickly set on web design and computer graphics. Jack the Ripper, Martin Lisec, Photoshop

As a young boy Martin had a big fascination with prehistoric animals, he went and asked parent for a painting set, he then started to paint Sci-fi backgrounds and some of the beasts described in his prehistoric book. This was the artistic grounding he chose to make him a clear leader in the industry today.

A clear factor that resounds in all of Martins work is his attention to detail and the use of his great imagination. Some of his current work shows his illustrator, Conceptual and textural skills come to life, using Photoshop Martin came to grips with a selection of 3D software which he uses in his collection of skills today. Martin says “Sometimes it helps me with my work and enables me to understand the work of 3D artists, if they can understand their work and tools they use.”

Due to martins images being so varied and sowing a very visual imagination, he seems to rely heavily on gaining experience from all around the world, more specifically people, architecture and the natural world. “Because I like darker styles of illustration, I like strange places such a cemeteries, old factories and the medieval streets in the center of Prague.”

His hard working mentality and have made it possible to produce many amazing works of art. Below is an great  illustration using a portait of his friend to which he simply entitles ‘Autumn Queen’. My favourite piece of Martin’s work is also shown below, it takes the form of a robot figure seemingly walking away from a burning village. I like the innovative imagination and creativity shown in this piece. He has  much more of his work on display, most can be viewed on his website at www.martinlisec.com
