Selecting Files

Once logged in, you can select multiple files by clicking and dragging your mouse over them or by holding the ctrl key and clicking on each file. Mac users can hold the cmd key and click to select several files.

File Approval System

Every Media Lightbox account includes the ‘File approval’ feature. The approval system is ideal for requesting approval on a design or prototype from your boss, colleagues or a client.

Folder Access Control

Media Lightbox enables you to control folder permissions for single users and custom groups. Site managers could, for example, give the accounts department access to important spreadsheets, whilst the design team have access to design and marketing folders.


Lightboxes are a great way of gathering files that are stored in different folders around your system. By adding them to a lightbox, you have a copy of them in one handy location, ready to send to others.

File Management for Legal Professionals

With Media Lightbox Enterprise account legal professionals can manage their files with ease. Simply add your clients as Power Admin users to you site.

As a Power Admin your clients will have access to all features within your Media Lightbox site, for example your clients will be able to create folders and upload files for the legal professional to manage. However clients can only view the folders that you have created, if you give them access.

Therefore legal professionals can request approval on files from the clients by using our file approval feature. This feature enables legal professionals to manage their files by sending individual files to clients, who can download, attach their feedback and upload their changes to the file, to the correct folder.

However if a client uploads the file to the wrong location, the legal professional can manage the file by moving it to the correct folder.
